One of the projects run by
The Foundation to Encourage the Potential of Disabled Persons
Chiang Mai Rotary club south,
run clinics where they give spectacles to people who cant afford them .
The lenses were donated by a gentleman in Australia through the Foundation to encourage ..... , students at the Yardfon Disabled School in Mae Taeng are paid to make the frames and the clinics are usually held on the week ends by the Rotary .
As the lenses are made from perspex we feel that it would be nice to give the people a case to put their glasses in so they don't scratch, we have various people and organisations helping us out with this project but are always open to you making a few cases and sending them to us in Scotland and i will take then out to Thailand .
So far we have had 100 cases donated by Rayzor international, 400 were made by the ladies of Kilmacolm "The handicraft group" and we have made some when we get a chance .
Below are the VERY SIMPLE instructions in 5 simple steps , on how to make some cases and help
Step 1: Cut out a template from an old cereal box
Step 2: Cut out a piece of material
Step 3: Hem the top
Step 4: fold in half and sew around the sides
Step 5: Turn inside out and send to Phantasanja
The pictures say it all, go on give it a try... you know you want to
