2019 The end of the chapter

15 years ago, there was a Tsunami which changed the lives of many people, some of them were the Stewart Family from Scotland.

During the Tsunami we were nowhere near the event, we were in Florida having a nice relaxed Christmas, it was not until we got to Heathrow on the 28th Dec that we realized the scale of the disaster and over the next few days it expanded, and the full scale of the devastation came to light. As a family we decided to go over and help rebuild a school on Koh-Prathong , an island off Koa Lak in the Andaman sea populated by sea Gypsies . You can read all about it on the website.

We set up the Tsunami stationery appeal and I went over in April 2005, for an adventure that would change our lives for the better.

I went to work Offshore to enable me to have time off and Julie moved over to Thailand for 5 years to give the children love and support, all the time being supported by our two boys in everything we did.

We have been fortunate that every project we have been involved in is self-funding and run by locals thus not depending on us for all their needs. We were there to help them set up and get going but it is a great testament to them watching where these projects are today.

As life goes on dynamics change and we now feel it is time to wind down the overseas charity and involve ourselves in local endeavours closer to home, whom need just as much help .

We would like to thank all the individuals, companies, corporations and organizations that have helped us over this period and without your help and support we would not have been able to achieve all we have.

We wish you all the best for the future and know that if you put your mind to it anything is possible
